The Benchmark Index is used to fundamentally improve the competitiveness and profitability of SMEs. It is a key performance indicator-based database comparison tool that enables companies to compare themselves with other companies in their sector, both nationally and at European level.
The BenchmarkIndex is based on a holistic view of the performance of SMEs, i. e. both quantitative and qualitative parameters. For this purpose, not only management data but also financial data are used as quantitative parameters. The qualitative parameters are derived from the Business Excellence Model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and are collected in the context of a self-assessment.
